Bacon Jam Brie Burgers with Crispy Truffle Parmesan Fries
45 mins prepServes 4
Bacon Jam Brie Burgers combine savory melted brie cheese, smoky bacon jam, and a juicy burger patty on a brioche bun, served with crispy truffle parmesan fries for a gourmet meal experience.
1. Make the Bacon Jam: Cook the sliced bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crisp. Remove bacon and drain excess grease, leaving about 1 tbsp in the pan. Add the butter, brown sugar, smoked paprika, pepper, and honey. Stir, then pour in the beef broth. Bring to a simmer and add the cooked bacon back in. Sprinkle in the cornstarch and cook, stirring occasionally, until thickened and glossy, 10–15 minutes.
2. Cook the Burgers: Heat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Cook the Schweid & Sons patties for 3–4 minutes per side, or until desired doneness. During the last minute, top each patty with slices of brie and let melt.
3. Toast the Buns: Lightly toast the brioche buns in a skillet or under the broiler until golden.
4. Assemble the Burgers: Add a handful of baby arugula to the bottom bun, place the brie-topped patty on top, and spoon a generous amount of bacon jam over the burger. Close with the top bun.
5. Serve: Plate the burgers with a side of crispy truffle parmesan fries and enjoy immediately.
6. Prep the Fries: Preheat the oven to 425°F. Wash and cut the potatoes into fries, then pat them very dry with a clean towel.
7. Season: In a large bowl, toss the fries with avocado oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
8. Bake: Spread the fries in a single layer on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crisp.
9. Add the Truffle: While still hot, transfer the fries to a bowl. Drizzle with white truffle oil and toss gently.
10. Finish: Sprinkle with freshly grated Parmesan, and chopped parsley. Serve immediately.
